Greetings everyone! I’ll be traveling to Beijing soon (I’m super excited!) and I’ve been meaning to pick up a book for the very long travel days. I have a great interest in China’s poverty alleviation programs and would very much appreciate any good book references on the topic.

I’m looking for examples of heroes that continued to operate as heroes despite losing their powers. Bonus points for name/costume changes and/or adopting new technology to makeup for their lack of powers.
One example that comes to mind are recovery suit Superman using guns during “return of superman.”
Guy Gardner as “warrior” could also count but I feel like the random introduction of new powers kind of takes away from the trope.
