Hello fellow cruisers - I’ve just found out that Road Scholars are booked into all the ConneXions meeting rooms all day, all week, and my group has been moved to the Belgravia room for our Sept 2 QM2 TA sailing week.

I vaguely remember Belgravia as being loud and cold (it’s a tender lounge) and often full of unused chairs. On the up side, it’s midship, so maybe it’ll be less movement than ConneXions.

Is anyone onboard who could take a picture of the room (Deck One, Stairway B) so I can plan some mitigation for my classes? And tell me, if you turn 180, is Chelsea visible or do you have to go upstairs and back down again?

I was disappointed to discover that when I used the “take $ off spa services” voucher offered at my stateroom, that the spa professional is then paid based on the lower amount, not the original price. So effectively, it’s not a “gift certificate,” it’s a “price cut.”

This was confirmed by a personal trainer and a pedicurist. I asked because at both appointments, their faces fell when I arrived with a voucher. They were still both very nice and the services provided were well-delivered. The bill showed the service charge on the discounted amount and I tipped above what I’d normally tip, and saved their names for the survey. I also mentioned in the survey that it doesn’t feel like a gift when the service provider is penalized for it.

Side note - I don’t recommend the basic pedicure, it’s a polish change and a quick scrub, but she did the process well and was friendly and kind.

The personal trainer was an absolute joy and bravely let me teach him some partner yoga 😁
