Casino on queen mary 2

I’m currently on the queen Mary 2 for a cruise. I’m only 17 and I really want to gamble specifically the black jack tables. Is there any way around the system? I just wanna have a little fun in international waters. Maybe someone can tell me how they give you chips and how the casino works

Cunard drinks package sales…

Hi everyone. I’m sailing Celebrity soon and have cancelled and rebooked my drink package several times online when it’s been on sale, to get a better price (saved over £150 per person so far!). My next cruise is QA. Last time I sailed Cunard, I didn’t have a drinks package but now I prefer to sail with one. So - my two part question - do Cunard ever have sales on their drinks packages (specifically the deluxe/premium non-alcoholic one) and, if they do, can it easily be cancelled via MyCunard/online and rebooked (am aware there is no easy app like other lines and the website is pretty clunky!).

Linking bookings question!

Hi everyone! Another question. For our 2027 QA cruise, we are two couples travelling in two staterooms. Despite making a single booking (via a third party site), from a Cunard point of view, we have two bookings, with two different reference numbers, one for each stateroom. I think (from CruiseCritic and Reddit discussions) there are advantages to “linking” the bookings (for example being easily able to make SD reservations or book excursions for the whole group in one place rather than having to log in to two separate accounts and hoping we can get matching bookings) - plus maybe for things like getting a 4 top in the MDR (we are on anytime dining). So, two part question - is this right, ie is there an advantage to linking the bookings (and any other pros I’ve missed) and secondly, can one do this online via MyCunard (I can’t see it) or do I have to make the dreaded phone call?

Cunard with a Baby

tl;dr: is the Cunard night nursery service any good?

We are looking at doing a cruise with a Cunard. We have a baby who will be about 13 months when we go.

We have done a Cunard cruise before pre-baby, so we know how it’s not a young people kind of vibe, but my husband and I are old souls.

We know they have a night nursery, which would be perfect as we can have a few hours, and a few drinks, but we still get to take baby and explore.

He’s already pretty well travelled at 8 months, so again, the travel element isn’t too worrying for us.

We have looked at other cruise lines, but the only other ones with things for his age are RC and DCL, and they are both paid for services, so Cunard seems like the best option anyway(?)

Has anyone used the night nursery? How did you find it? I can only find pretty old reports, so don’t know if it has changed in recent years.

Internet on QE2 in Alaska

Not very good.

Download speed ranges from 1 to 10mb.

Upload speed is in the .25 to 3mb range.

Frequently, I wait a long time for basic web pages to appear--or I get an error message. It took 15? seconds to get this post to start so i could begin typing.

I am on premium.

Also, getting in and out between my phone and my laptop is a series of convoluted steps (room number, date of birth in English/Europe order, click confirm this, confirm that, enter the portal, while being sure to turn off vpn) and going to internet.cunard.com (which the thing doesn't automatically take you to).

Surely this can be better.

The rest of the cruise has been good; the internet not.

Mailing personal items from France to Post Office in UK ahead of cruise

Does anyone here have experiencing posting your personal items through the mail service from France to a post office in England?

We're flying to Paris from the US, traveling around for 10 days, then we're leaving on back-to-back transatlantic/Caribbean cruises starting from Southampton, UK. It would be a huge convenience to not have to carry our cruise items during our land-based travels.

Before anyone suggests we just use a luggage shipping service, I want to explain a couple things. First, we can't use a luggage delivery service that requires a destination address for drop off. Our lodging is a self-service facility. Second, we're not willing to use a service that delivers to the cruise port -even though it would be the most convenient option- because it is too costly.

If you have done this, I would appreciate learning from your experience.

Drinks package for just one of two guests

Hello fellow Cunarders, I am going on a cruise with Cunard soon and want to get a Drinks package (the "Beverage Collection" for 76.50). However, I just want to do it for myself, not the other person I am travelling with as they don't drink that much, yet on the website it defaults to both of us. Has anyone dealt with this? Do both people really have to get it??? That's crazy. This will be my fourth time travelling with Cunard but it's my first time considering the Beverage collection. Can anyone help me out? Many thanks!

Juneau arrival and excursion time

Hello all! We are estimated to arrive at 8am in Juneau for my upcoming cruise. There is a whale watching tour available (not Cunard) at 8:30. They say they pick you up from the cruise terminal. Is that enough time to get off the ship or should I book a later excursion?
