Are there aany research opportunities with professors at GIKI? Universities like lums have professors with huge networks whom u could collaborate with which can help in going for MS abroad. Are giki professors like that. And are there professors with abroad linkages who could give a rec letter?

Everything's falling apart. I could rant for days. I wanted lums more than anything. After today I would probably not getting in. still waitlisted. no call. Noone knows the time I went through. The entire gap year spent in loneliness and a hope. From getting a 1490 to helping so many people with sat. Then being the most active person here. This subreddit became my home. Saw so many people getting accepted and being happy for them. Hoping for others. Trying to crack their admissions system 24/7. Coming up with new theories. Meeting so many amazing people here.
It's all coming to an end and I'm the loser. The only uni I got into is giki where I don't wanna go at all. I don't want to leave Lahore, don't wanna leave my home. I manifested lums all the time. Prayed a 1000 times. Saved idk how many reels of lums which I liked. Stalked my friends' highlights from lums. Seeing people hoping for my acceptance all the time. It's coming to an end and I don't know what to do. Don't know how to cope. Don't know how to move on. I can't see it all go away in a single second. Something I spent 3 years imagining. I'm off. I got into giki and honestly i don't mind studying everyday and staying consistent. infact ive already done that during a lvls too. however, i was wondering if it's possible to enjoy the giki life alongside. ofc there needs to be a work life balance. obv enjoying 24/7 would not get me a good gpa. so i was thinking if it's possible to manage time for studying as well as enjoying giki life / personal hobbies?
Last day of admissions decisions. 107 days since 15th April. 197 days since application submission.
I look back at the time when decisions were being released and realize how excited I used to be. Waking up with a new hope everyday. Eagerly waiting for 4 Pm. Constantly refreshing email and portal.
All that excitement's simply dead now. Yes I'd be still happy if I get in now. But it won't be the same. It won't be the way I manifested. Thank you for ruining our mental healths lums.
