Losing to AI
I recently decided to write my story about a world I created over the many years. I was an avid Inkitt and Wattpad reader so naturally, I started posting it there. But everywhere I look, there's AI book covers that honestly look amazing at first glance.
Having many artist friends of my own, I honestly don't support AI art. But, I'm ashamed to say I considered it (but thought better of it) because I tried my best to make my own in Canva but personally, I am not an artistic person in that sense and commissioning the art that I'm looking for is just so expensive.
People keep saying how having an amazing cover will get people to click on your story in the first place so now I'm a bit discouraged. Has anyone else had these thoughts or just me? Am I just cooked if I can't get a nicer cover? :c
