Hoping someone can help me out. I ordered a 3k/4k kit of gov springs online. Was under the impression its just 3 springs but received 6 in the package. I assume 3 are for 3k and 3 are for 4k. I thought previously you leave the small spring out for some reason for 3k. Very hard to tell differences between them. (They weren’t separated in the bag they were all mixed)
Basically wanting to do a dually “conversion” (mainly looks) on my 97 2500. Unfortunately, the only 16in factory dually wheels come into contact with the drums on the Dana 70, it takes 6in of spacers to clear the drums. Was hoping one 3in would be enough and I would have plenty of pilot hub left for the load to rest on. Wondering what my options are… how bad is it to run this? Should I just get bigger wheels? Different axle? It would require a 5/8in lip for both the inner and outer dually wheels to be “hubcentric” if I bought different spacers.
Note: yes I know the drum is broken I have new ones it’s for testing fitment only haha
Kinda leaning towards a dually swap on my 2500 and looking at building something similar to this. Just wondering if anyone knows this truck or where I can find more info on it
