Epic, Please Consider Bringing Back or Replicating Pre-Chapter 5 Free Quest Rewards for Consistency

Hey Epic,

Now that KA-BANG! (the wrap originally earned for free via the Cosmic Summer Quests in Chapter 2 Season 7) is available in the Item Shop, it highlights an inconsistency in how rewards are handled.
Veteran players who completed those quests got the item without spending V-Bucks. Newer players now have the option to purchase it. Meanwhile, you’re re-releasing Battle Pass items starting from Chapter 5 Season 4 after the exclusivity period.
It would feel more balanced if Epic could revisit or recreate similar free quest opportunities for pre-C5 content. Ideas like:

• Re-releasing select old quest lines (or updated versions)

• Adding legacy/catch-up mechanics for those rewards

• Expanding free event-style quests that reward older cosmetics

This would give everyone a fair shot at progression-based rewards, keep the spirit of those original summer quests alive, and help maintain goodwill across the player base.
What does the community think? Should older free quest rewards get more love?

Hello,

I have been playing this game for a long time, even though, I missed out on a lot of cool shit from previous chapters (due to life). I compare the previous chapters with these current ones and the difference is noticeable. Ever since they made the battlepasses non-exclusive, they \*\*mostly\*\* have been underwhelming, not that I’m supporting exclusivity, but we can clearly see a pattern here, it’s like literally one good skin and a collab or two. OG pass was a good idea until we saw it, the remixed skins look fine, but the pickaxes and the gliders are literally item shop cosmetics that only have been recoloured, like are we serious???!! If efficiency is needed, maybe extract the actual gliders and pickaxes from those previous passes and re-colour them, we are now seeing the same issue with current passes as well (since exclusivity is gone), like Lady Windfrost’s glider is that stupid fire dragon from the item shop, recoloured and now it’s ice, they’ve been doing this for a while and it’s really sickening that they think we are stupid and won’t notice. The quality has been declining, like yes some of them are cool, but overall it’s been crappy.

Again, I’m against exclusivity, but the business model is infuriating, if you want to keep exclusivity it’s either all or none, don’t come to me in the middle of a chapter that we are grinding on and be like hey we removed exclusivity and whatever u grind for will be available in the item shop on 18 months (ik this is cringe, but I’m talking from an OG gatekeep mindset) so how’s that fair for the newer players who want to feel value (as in passion, not financial) but then the shit gatekeepers get to have all of their shit locked up behind a battlepass cuz they “GrIndeD iT aLL” and the newer players who’ve done the exact same ,don’t get to feel that same value.

They even mentioned “previous battlepass cosmetics” would be accessible via crew in their previous surveys, just to keep us on the hook. Crew is ok-ish but have severely been nerfed because of the new vbuck prices, with lesser benefits, it questions if it’s worth the monthly subscription.

I want to forward this to the devs, if someone knows a way to do so.

Thx,
Unlucky Gamer

Hello all,

This feature better make a comeback, now I’m unsure if this was exclusive (if it was then, this is bs, and they need to re-consider to bring it back).

Maybe they can make this a crew benefit where they can customize their own Bellas or even gliders, I think it would be a nice refined addition!

Wouldn’t this be awesome? u/epictofuchris
Thx

I definitely think it should and it would be a win-win situation, there just needs to be a secure way of implementing it

My opinion is that it should be a limited time feature for a few weeks or a month to which you and your friends (who u want to trade with) should have a duration of friendship of one year. So basically the feature is limited for one month, and you and your friend should have added each other a year or more ago, this will eventually reduce scams and account selling, cuz no one is gonna wait a year to trade plus that this would be a month limited feature that will never come back later, so that would significantly reduce scams. All of this ofc would require 2FAs to be active.

The way Epic would benefit from this so that they could pay their bills, is to add a trading fee per cosmetic so that everything operates under their watch and that it would maintain their market.

This could also be a crew benefit too.

Hopefully they would consider adding this, I would also like to share my cosmetics that I never use with my friends who are new to the games and otherwise.
