After 4 whole years of being completely locked out, I finally got my original Fortnite account back today and I’m still in shock 😂
Back in 2018 I made the account, played a ton (founder’s edition, tons of battle passes, etc.), but then my mom changed her email + phone number that were linked to 2FA. From that point I couldn’t log in or recover it no matter what I tried.
I submitted recovery requests so many times over the years and kept getting denied. Almost gave up hope… but I kept trying with more and more details each time.
Today I finally got the good news email — I’m back in after all this time.
This one means a lot. If you’re still fighting to recover your own account, don’t give up. Keep submitting, stay persistent, and be as detailed as possible. It can actually work.
Feels unreal right now lmao. Time to dust off the old locker 🎮

Hi guys i request a Data Account Download a couple of hours ago how much time does it usually take to get the email with the data from Epic? If it matters i've been playing since 2018 i heard that it has to go trough all my history.

So my account probably got hacked, and this is fully my fault for not really noticing until it was too late, and I couldn't sign in. My first recovery request was denied, and I've appealed, but what are the chances of me probably getting it back? I still have a two of my game receipt emails if that has a chance of helping? I'd just like it back cause I have a couple hundred worth of games I got for free on there.

I feel so stupid for not noticing this earlier.

I‘ve been logging into Fortnite the last couple days and was always confused when my locked seemed to be randomized even tho I disabled the feature. Like, suddenly playing as Harley Quinn, which I never do bc I always play master chief. But I ignored it because well, the game is buggy some times so I didn’t think much of it.

Until yesterday. I played a horror map with my friends and got logged out of the game and returned to the lockscreen with the note ‚login expired/ logged in elsewhere‘. My friends told me some Russian guy started texting them in the party chat with my account in Russian ‚this is my account‘ (translated). He also said some things in the voice chat but neither of us speak Russian so yeah, whatever.

Anyways I‘m super pissed off right now. I already made a ticket for account recovery. I just needed to vent about this because aaah it‘s so annoying istg.

Is it realistic, that I‘ll get my account back and has anyone else experience this?

Hello everyone, in a 16yo based in Italy and i can say that this scam (rumbler.ru) is getting everywhere, even here in Italy. It just happened to me and i can’t wait to find out that epic has done nothing about it, i filed a claim, and tried everything else. But my question is; how can a multi-millionaire company have this kind of low security for customers and players? Like literally, in 2 seconds someone got into my account, changed email, password and username. I’ve had my account for 9 years, and nothing ever happened until this day. It was my fault too, i tried to see how much my locker costs and i put in my 2fa information, it was stupid by me but i mean come on. Now i’ll wait and see if they get my acc back, just so you know dont use (fortmarvel.com) or even any other website to check your account , it looks legit BUT IT ISNT!! I did the math and i spent 200 euros , about 350 dollars. Epic fix your system!! And guys Be careful!!
EDIT: by the way on tiktok someone is leaking all the emails and hackers informations to do a mass report and spamming of emails and Ddos their routers, find their IP’s and even call the government on them.

Had my account hacked a few weeks back didnt know about it as i work nights bow and dont play much tried to log in and no such luck looked at my emails and saw the account recovery and a change of email was authorized. Epic your account security is a joke. Filed a ticket on Friday was able to get it back on Sunday but my username is completely borked until may 28th now. Even with 2 factor enabled they was able to get into my account and change everything.

So about Last week I was trading with this scammer I give him everything I walked him through everything and give me an account that had a code when I asked him for the code he just ghosted me completely and now I don't have my account and the account he gave me i can't login to i made a recovery of my account and it's was denied and now I don't know what to do

Epic games support is so bad I wouldn’t be surprised if they failed account recovery’s on purpose so they can log into the account and sell it. I gave them such good proof that the account is mine and they deny everything I send in Im trying to play rocket league because I just got a ps5 after a year or 2 of not having a PlayStation and I could see myself logged into rocket league in the background but they are still asking for my log in information? I tried entering it but every time it is wrong

Trying to play Rocket League online on a Windows 10 64-bit computer with an AMD Radeon HD 7570. I realize this is somewhat elderly graphics hardware but this did formerly work as recently as last week and does currently work in offline mode. Now it does not. The error is caused by Easy Anti-Cheat and is:

> Untrusted system file (\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolum3\Windows\System32\aticfx64.dll)

I have tried the following drivers:

AMD Radeon HD 7570 15.200.1045.0 2015-06-22
AMD Radeon HD 7500 Series 15.200.1062.1004 2015-08-03 (labeled as 15.7.1 WHQL on AMD.com)
AMD Radeon HD 7500 Series 15.301.1901.0 2016-02-26 (labeled as "Crimson Edition 16.2.1 Beta" on AMD.com)

I have also tried:

• Display Driver Uninstaller (no change)
• SFC (no change)
• System Restore (failed)
• Repair of Easy Anti-Cheat (no change)
• Windows Update (there are no new updates)

I then decided to download various versions of aticfx64.dll from some dodgy-looking DLL download sites. Astonishingly the second attempt actually cleared the error, but then a new error with a different DLL file appeared. I went through several DLL files and eventually got stuck at atiumd64.dll.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Fortnite kept removing me from the match. Due to an internet error stating that I was removed from the match due to internet lag ,using a VPN, or cheating etc.... in which I've not used any of those, then it banned me for 24 hours. And then after that, it banned me for an entire year, I did not break any of these violations at all whatsoever, so why am I facing this? And what's the point in an appeal If they are so certain to ban me for a year. I submitted one just for the heck of it but I am probably just going to end up doing a lawsuit. I have had my account for a very long time and have a lot of money into it. And I have no idea why I'm facing this.

lost account for about 3 + years, am now trying to log back into it. Whenever I “ search for your email” for the correct user + email login, it says account found (check email etc, etc). Now, it is my stepdads email ( I was a kid) so I don’t have access to it at the moment, but I presume it should be in his email now? I’m not sure if logging in with Xbox has to do with anything so I also did that one for good measure. I know logging in with Xbox sometimes messes things up, but would it send to a different email that was not listed in any case(I’ve heard of signing in with Xbox having issues with ghost email accounts that aren’t accessible due to not choosing to sign up with epic games on Fortnite) ? haven’t had luck the last time I tried but I also believe we maxed out attempts.

I genuinely don’t understand how a company this large managed to create such an unbelievably terrible account recovery system.

I lost access to my account. Simple problem, right? Recover access, verify identity, contact support, solve it. Except none of that works properly.

To recover your account, you need to be logged in.
To contact human support, you need to be logged in.
Some help pages also require you to be logged in.

Who designed this? It’s literally a support system that blocks the exact users who actually need support.

I’ve been trying for DAYS to log in using my linked PSN account. The system recognizes the PSN correctly, so clearly the account exists, but then it asks me to confirm the registered email.

Which email? I have no idea.

So I try the obvious next step: recover the linked email through the PSN account information.

Result?
“Too Many Requests.”

Again.
And again.
And again.

The API basically throws rate-limit errors at every recovery attempt. It honestly feels like someone enabled an aggressive throttle configuration and pushed it straight to production without testing real recovery scenarios.

This is the kind of thing you’d expect from a rushed side project, not from a billion-dollar company.

At this point the entire experience feels broken:

• account recovery depends on being logged in,
• support depends on being logged in,
• recovery endpoints constantly fail,
• rate limiting punishes legitimate users,
• and there’s no actual fallback path.

It feels like nobody involved in building this system ever had to recover their own account before.

Account recovery shouldn’t feel harder than breaking into your own house.

Recently I got my account back after it being hacked 3 years ago. During the time it was hacked it was sold at least once from what I can see by the hacker. At least one of the people who had access to the account at some point or another got it banned.

The first time I attempted to get the account back was 3 years ago and was incredibly frustrating with the support I received, so I gave up and made a new account for the time being.

About a week ago I attempted another support ticket to get my account back. This second attempt was reasonably successful as the support was much better and I ended up getting the sanction on my account removed.

With the sanction removed though I am still unable to play the game as in the launcher it says "Banned" below the Fortnite icon where it would normally say launch. I uninstalled it and now it just says "Unavailable". I am not hardware banned as this does not cause any issue playing the game on my account that I had been using in the meantime on the same computer.

The support team said there is nothing more they can do for me so I've come here to see whether anyone knows what is happening/has any suggestions for me to get my account back properly.

Hey! I'm newer to pc so I don't understand everything. But when I download anything on steam, blizzard, online, anywhere other than epic I get ≥450 mbps download, but on epic I get roughly 200 for about 5 seconds and then drops to zero for a minute or two and repeats so it takes hours for even a simple 5gb update, I've done everything I can think of anyone has any tips or knows the issue that'd be greatly appreciated!!!

How do I pass the recovery? I had my email changed to a mail.t00 domain and have not been able to successfully recover it. I have all the receipts, original email, console accounts, etc.

Not sure what to do here, has anyone had a similar experience?
