Interested in one for a creek smallmouth rod (targeting <1 lb to max 3lb smb). Tbf a 3# smb would exceptionally rare. My understanding is that all the UL sensilite rods are actually more moderate action, which is cool with me because I frequently use treble hooks. Are the Light rods the same more moderate action, and is the 7ft Light truly "extra fast" action? Lots of questions but appreciate the input for anyone who has tried these rods.

I make it up to the area once in a while and last time I waded a small stretch of the river around the Patrick Henry bridge. It was really productive for sunfish, but I'm wondering if the ground squirrel area is more productive for smallmouth/lmb/spotted bass. I'd be wading if it makes a difference. Last time I never hit a point where it was too deep to wade, is the ground squirrel area the same? Thanks a lot.

Not from the area but will be passing through. I know the south Anna has some decent fishing opportunities but I was interested in this part of the Chickahominy west of the fall line. Not looking for 3lb bass. Is there anything in there that far west?
