Am in the prepping stage of painting my car, when I got the vehicle it had been primed with an acrylic primer ( not 2k) paint shop told me you cannot base and clear 2k over non 2k primer.

What should I do? Remove existing primer and re-prime with 2k?

Paint base and clear acrylic over existing?
