failing a unit & wam requirement
hi all, sorry to post something not quite gamsat relevant, however i've been feeling so lost about medicine as a future opportunity, as i had recently sat a supplementary exam for a core unit, and had unfortunately not been able to pass it. my WAM is currently 72 and im in my 2nd year of biomed at monash at the moment. im wondering whether if medicine can even be considered as something i do in the future since i can remember it's all i've ever wanted to pursue. im planning to sit the gamsat next year in march, and at the moment, i just feel so unmotivated because of this one fail that I've gone through and have no idea where to even start preparing for it. i would need to repeat this unit along with 3 other core units next year in my first sem, and i feel so ashamed for not passing it. my parents seem to think im doing well at uni, however i feel so burntout and unmotivated to even just watch my lectures, knowing i'll have to repeat a unit next semester. im wondering whether pursuing medicine is even worth it, because of my grades and getting into monash postgrad med is looking quite impossible as my wam is way below the requirement for it. i feel like im wasting entire days doing nothing and then end up feeling guilty for it during the night.
apologies for this post and any advice would be appreciated 🥲
thanks
