“You know,
I'm a superstitious guy.
I believe in signs.
I believe in palmistry and astrology, and all that kinda thing.
You don't, I know that -
Oh, deflnitely not.
Let me see your hand.
You see, Mr Kennicutt,
that's your fate line
and it breaks there.
That was your bad fortune.
But it picks up again,
and that's interesting.
That's a very good omen.
May I?
Mmm
Deep line of Apollo.
That's a man devoted to his work.
Your Apollo line crosses the mound of the Moon.
You know, that's very rare.
And very impressive.
That's the sign of a man
who's destined to attain
a very particular kind of distinction.
That's a very good sign.
I know you think it's silly,
but I'm gonna make a believer
out of you before I'm done.
It was very nice meeting you.
Oh, Mr Brimmer?
Large thumb, low mound of Venus; that means ambition,
purposefulness.
I’ve been watching Colombo in 🇬🇧 on Pluto 🇺🇸 using VPN.
As of last Season 6 point in the cycle Pluto has changed the user interface and made connecting via VPN virtually impossible.
I will miss watching Colombo during waking hours and also Classic Colombo for falling asleep to as the Pluto ads weren’t too dramatically raised in volume.
I would buy the seasons on Amazon Prime but they now cheekily add commercials at an unacceptably loud volume increase after the purchased video ends and then divert you automatically to their ‘Live TV’ channel of choice. So you don’t dare risk falling asleep to that.
I guess it was too much to ask for in life.
📺
Columbo: "Excuse me, are you a Shriner?"
Officer: "No."
Columbo: "Is your partner a Shriner?"
Officer: "I don't know. Why don't you ask him."
Columbo: "Excuse me, are you a Shriner?"
Partner: "No."
Columbo: "Is anyone here a Shriner? I'm Lieutenant Columbo. Police Department. I could use some help. Is anyone here a Shriner? Or does anyone here know a Shriner?"
Another person: "Lieutenant!"
Columbo: "Are you a Shriner?"
Person: "No... but you know, Frank the bartender on the corner is a Shriner."
Columbo: "Thank you. Does he have a Shriners ring?"
Person: "I don't know. Why don't you ask him."
And with that all I’m wondering is how often do my fellow 13 Mini devotees turn the phone sideways for the benefit of bigger lateral screen size?
Even if I’m using it only with either hand I can switch to side-ways viewing/usage without having to involve the second hand at all!
I particularly like using the phone in wide view when using Gmail app or other email apps, and also when needing text to be larger when reading more than a couple lines. If I enlarge the screen in normal long ways mode I have to shuffle the lines I’m reading back and forth so as to see and read them.
