What do you predict will be the next big tactical innovation in sports?
We had the 3 point revolution in basketball, and before that we had the Moneyball revolution in baseball. What do you think is next?
My prediction is that someone in football is gonna figure out that teams should go for 2 point conversions way way more than they already do. As in, they should almost always do it.
I just realized Bob Ley is only 71. I thought he would've been like 83 at least.
It's not important in any way but I feel like I had to tell someone and I don't know anyone in real life who would know who he is or would care.
And 71 is old, but like, not that old? To think he was not even 60 years old the last time he anchored ESPNs World Cup coverage in 2014. He's one of the OG's of that network and I remember feeling he was like an elder statesman of ESPN, a guy they brought out when they wanted to raise their level of professionalism and journalist credentials. And to be fair, he was that guy. But all I'm saying is that his stature at the network led me to thinking he was a lot older than he was.
Anyway, that's all.
