Experiences with extreme practicing (8h+ per day)?

Two years ago, i had about 2 Weeks of free time but no money to travel, so i stayed at home ... and played bass.
I had planned none of this, but somehow i took the bass every morning and played the whole day (im exaggerating, but at least 10 Hours per day). I woke up, played scales, googled new scales, watched tutorials, jammed with the radio/youtube or just soloed.

Oh boi, did that 2 weeks elevate my playing! Before all of that, i was at advanced beginner level, two weeks later, i played along to Vulfpeck-Songs (far from perfect - but heyyy!)
- my technique developed, incidentally. F.e.: before, i had a massive "flying fingers" -problem - gone after week one - without me doing consciously anything about it.
- i know were to find the notes, that are in my head, wich means: if i can think the melody, i can play it - how cool is that?
- i know my intervals
- overall my playing got more intuitive, more "in the flow".

Some of the virtuosity got away, as i returned to a reduced, more normal schedule. But the overall confidence regarding the instrument stayed and the muscle memory stayed too.

Anyone else here with experiences in extreme practicing? Pros? Cons?

Disclaimer: Extreme practicing can cause muscular problems, ask a medic first.

Small battery powered amp for bass?

I'm looking for a battery powered amp, that can be transported via bike w. saddlebags. I don't need Volume above (loud) speaking level. The cheaper the better.
