I am always curious to know which bracket of the crowd would someone rank with this salary range? Would this be in the top 40%? Given the luxury all around in UAE and seeing how people spend (not to forget how expensive living can get). Makes me think what is the average person here really make?

This my 3rd time in the same apartment, but I still have not gotten it. I have signed the contract and given the cheques. The agent says he has submitted it and I will get an SMS and can download from Digital Sharjah. Its been more than a week now - still no SMS, before I would get the physical stamped copy with the week. Anyone face similar issue? On the app its still showing the old contract and expiry date. Which is by Sep 9th, should I be worried or wait it out?

My mom is a nursery teacher with over 20 years exp in UAE, teaching preschool and even 1st to 2nd grade kids. She recent took up the decision to teach and take home tuitions - even applied for the Private tutor permit on MOHRE and has got the license too.
The issue is, she is struggling to get kids... She has been trying to self advertise but no luck. What are the options here to help her and find more parents in this category. Any tips, suggestion or ideas? Please help!

BUT this year my agent told me I wont get the tenancy contract after the municipality stamp - and it will be sent digitally. Is this true? Usually all these years, I would get a hard copy with the stamp and original contract or the copy. I have still not got any SMS or such for the contract. (That what the agent is telling me).

Should I convert my Dirham in UAE itself to Thai Bhat, or convert it to USD? Also Do I do the conversion in UAE or in Thailand?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on the legal and tax implications of structuring my YouTube/Google AdSense income in the UAE.

Currently, my Google AdSense account is under my personal name, so technically the AdSense/YouTube income is paid to me personally by Google.

However, I also own a media company, and the AdSense payments are currently being received directly into my company’s bank account, even though the AdSense account itself is still under my personal name rather than the company name.

Ideally, I would like the YouTube activity and income to sit within the company. The main issue is that changing/transferring the AdSense setup to the company could apparently result in a 4–5 month interruption in payments because of Google’s process. Given the amount and regularity of the income, that isn't commercially practical for me.

My questions are:

• Can I legally keep the AdSense account in my personal name while having the payments deposited into my company bank account?
• Could I have a formal agreement between myself and my company stating that I receive/hold the AdSense income on behalf of the company, so that the revenue is ultimately recognized as company income?
• Would that be sufficient from a UAE corporate tax and accounting perspective, or does the fact that the AdSense account/contract is under my personal name mean the income must legally be treated as my personal income?
• What happens if my AdSense/YouTube revenue exceeds the AED 375,000 VAT registration threshold? Would I personally need to register for VAT because the AdSense account is in my personal name, or would the company need to register because the income is being received and accounted for by the company?
• Does the fact that the money is currently being deposited directly into the company bank account make any difference for determining who is actually earning the income for VAT and corporate tax purposes?
• If VAT registration is required, how would VAT apply to Google AdSense payments, considering Google may be a non-UAE entity?
• Is there any risk in continuing with this arrangement where the AdSense account is personally registered but the payments are received by the company?

Ultimately, I’m trying to find the most compliant long-term structure without having to absorb several months of interrupted AdSense payments just to move the AdSense account from my personal name to the company.

I am going this September 2026 to Phuket (kamala beach) to celebrate my 30th, and honestly I just wanna smoke up at the place I am renting in my balcony. I don't plan to get stoned outside or in public. I just don't want to get a buzz kill if I go to a store and they say sorry you can't buy. I am more than happy to pay for a damn Prescription.
