My account got banned for “recidivism.” What did I do wrong and how can I get it back?
I’m aware of what recidivism is, but I’ve never been banned or warned by ChatGPT for any kind of ToS violation. The closet i’ve come is when I was asking ChatGPT to help me re-wire my motorcycle’s wiring harness to allow me to turn off a light that is normally always on. It initially wasn’t willing to help but then I said it was for a school project, and that the bike would never be used in public roads, and then it cooperated just fine.
Recently, i’ve been using it to help with homework, but more so, i’ve been using it to search for a car. Quickly searching dealer listings, cataloguing VIN data and car data, making spreadsheets, that kinda stuff. As far as I’m aware, all totally benign stuff.
I appealed the ban, asked for a human review, and was hit with the automated “we’ve decided to uphold our decision and you can’t ask for any more assistance on this matter” bs.
Absolutely no idea what i’ve done wrong. Help me out
