Upgrading

I’m a lifetime photographer usually using phone/polaroid and completely out of hobby. Mainly landscape/nature/wildlife is what I’d like to use the camera for but decent portrait photos of my direct family is a small plus (I think a lot of my failures in that regard are skill based + lack of tripod more than camera because im not used to trying for a quality photo and just capture what I can on my phone)

The only camera I’ve ever had besides a phone/polaroid is a canon sx420is I bought years ago which I’ve been using more and more for my landscape stuff now that I’ve put time into figuring out the very little manual setting it does have. I’m really enjoying it but the more I read it seems like a lot of areas I’m struggling with certain shots would be resolved with some more manual availability.

Looking for camera recs that may be an upgrade to this but still aren’t breaking the bank. I don’t need a $1000 camera right now and I understand I’ll get better quality with higher price but because this is hobby based I don’t need the best of the best. Just looking for an upgrade to what I’ve got maybe more suited to what I am using it for?

Side note - if this camera should work fine for what I’m photographing and I’m just not doing it right - please let me know I’d be happy to hear it haha!

Late afternoon dread

I have figured out how to manage all the nuances of my symptoms very well alongside vyvanse but something I struggled with before taking it and still do is the 5pm transitional work day (even when I’m not working) change from daytime to evening. This happens regardless of the time of day I’ve taken the vyvanse so it feels more like a habitual brain thing than a comedown. I’m struggling with transitions in my day/tasks as a whole but everything is manageable and I feel confident in my ability to work through it besides this. 😳 Is this normal? Any input? Maybe I need to adjust my habits around this time?

first time home buyer advice needed

In very unsafe housing, financially low income but very stable/consistent for years and years. USDA direct looks to be an excellent option for me but I’m struggling so much with where to begin. Very first steps to take. I know I can hire a certified person to help with the application package but considering how low income I am… that won’t be happening. I am smart enough to figure it out if I can just figure out where to start because the info online is so confusing and conflicting. Am I just downloading the application form itself and submitting to the office in the state / county I’m trying to move to? And then doing the rest of the paperwork after that point?

I understand I can search through previous posts but I seriously don’t know where to start and don’t know what to even look for when looking for advice. There is probably better questions I could be asking but I’m starting at the absolute bottom level of knowledge here.
