For the Youth...

Sharing a project that I've made for when we go to schools and outreach events. As a small group of advocates who don't get paid for it- sometimes getting equipment is a pain.

Here, we can show how compression waves read wall loss. Laser is just a visual aid and not reading the distance. I have other samples that from the front they all look the same- but as you scan them you can see corrosion/Erosion, and lamination.

Some cheap electronics and about 1kg of filament.

Add some increments at the top and they could sketch the corrosion...

My 12 year olds StopMotion

My son is making more stop motions and so far, he has 50 subscribers and its really fueling him to do more. If you can give it a watch, that would be great! Commenting would be great because he's trying to "stay active" with others. Hes a great kid, and loves watching Corridor Crew with me. A simple view will make him happy!

Thanks for the support that group has already provided.

Lego Invincible Stop motion

He's 12, and can use some encouragement! Trying more creative things for summer than TV and Roblox.

Last video was the wrong video, my bad. Here is the demo.

Multiple IQIs, collimators, welds, lead numbers, Film speeds etc. Demo will be Sec 5 driven with different situations and limited equipment. Calculate the Barricade, shot time, STFD/UG. Any one can fail with one wrong piece picked up.

Here you can see a plate weld and pipe weld, A and B wire, film flexes, lead numbers, and there are 3 different collimators with different HVLs.

On the backend- 3 scenarios are baked in. 2" Contact, 2" Superimposed, then a plate shot. You will have to calculate shots times, barricades (not just make a big barricade) and UG, everything. I've already made a darkroom with chemicals to process film (older demo) but for every shot- a bunch can go wrong.

This will be a full Sec 5 demo with more than 3 situations. Pretty neat- just new boot goofing.

3D printed in ASA to last in Texas heat. Hidden couplant dispenser, and built for the Artio UT meter. Artio is the smallest I've seen and streams everything to your phone- keeping the device pretty small. 2.8lbs but can lift 5x it's weight. Pretty neat- my favorite part is knocking the back wheel off and driving like a hover board.

Working time is about 2-3 hours before you need to recharge.

No safety ratings just did it because it was a challenge.

A/B scan compatible.

Off to the next project...
