Wizard and Glass - Bridges of Madison County Reference
Don’t think this constitutes a spoiler.
Reading Wizard and Glass for the first time, is this supposed to be a ‘The Bridges of Madison County’ reference?
The beginning of this section is about a folklore that’s going around in mid-world of which every town has its version.
‘The girl, although young, was married.
The boy, although fair, was unstable.
She met him one night in a remote place to tell him their affair, sweet as it had been, must end.’
And the names of the boy and girl in the Hambry version happen to be Robert and Francesca which are the names of the characters in The Bridges of Madison County who had an affair just like this that must end.
