Preliminary Injunction and Lawsuits - Discussion

Hi everyone! Like most of us I’ve joined a lawsuit, (Hacking Round 2)

I started reading in the last few days that people who were granted Preliminary Injunction on either McBean and Hacking lawsuits still haven’t received relief, no adjudications or any signs of movement on their case. With all these posts and complaints, I’m starting to get the sense that I just flushed $1500 down the drain.

My question is: Isn’t a Preliminary Injunction just that? Preliminary? A temporary initial decision to provide immediate relief to Plaintiffs? But the lawsuit is still ongoing and yet to be resolved and we still might get a more meaningful ruling down the line?

What are the next steps in these lawsuits? I saw Hacking claiming victory for the PI but isn’t it too soon to celebrate before the final order/verdict is issued?

I apologize if these are dumb questions, I don’t have a law degree and I’m trying to understand how these lawsuits work to the best of my abilities.

Also, if u/jim_hacking reads this it would be great if you can make a short post, an AMA or even a private The Immigration Answers Show for those who enrolled in the lawsuits to explain what is going on with the lawsuit and next steps.

I understand we basically signed a contract stating that there won’t be any one to one communication but it seems there is a lot of confusion and a bit of clarity on this whole process would go a long way to ease the collective nerves.
