30F, recently moved and realizing I have zero social life outside my yoga mat
I made a big move a few months ago for a fresh start, thinking I'd easily build a new social circle since I'm pretty outgoing and I stay active, but wow, it is way harder to make friends at 30 than it was in my 20s. I spend most of my time at yoga classes or going on solo outings just to get out of my apartment, but it's starting to feel really lonely having no one to share those moments with. I like to think I'm fun to be around – I'm fit, I'm told I have a warm energy, and I enjoy a little light flirting just to keep things interesting – but at the end of the day, I really just want someone consistent to talk to, whether that's deep late-night conversations about life or just sending each other memes and making plans to grab a bite. I know the whole "I'm beautiful" thing sounds shallow to lead with, but I'm mentioning it because people often assume I already have a packed social calendar, and the truth is I'm actually pretty isolated right now and just craving real human connection. If you're also in that weird in-between phase of life where you're figuring things out and wouldn't mind a friend (or more if we both feel it), send me a message with your age and something you're currently struggling with – I promise I won't judge, I'll just listen.
