Torn muscle pain?

I (32F) had my OHS at the end of May and since
I could work from home, had to return to desk work for a few hours a day after 30 days post surgery. Since then, I’ve had terribly sharp pain in my right pectoral/breast, kinda towards my armpit (sorry, hard to verbally describe). It gets worse after working for more than an hour or two, assuming from moving my arm to use the mouse and keyboard. Some weekends it gets better, then worse again as the week starts. I tried so hard to limit my range of motion but I’m also a mom of two toddlers and just couldn’t stay so useless after the first few weeks. My doctor thinks it sounds like normal recovery pain but I haven’t read of similar experiences, so I’m curious how normal it is. Not every movement hurts, but most, like holding up my coffee mug or driving or washing dishes or folding clothes aggravates it at times, feeling like the muscle is torn. I’m also still experiencing a high resting heart rate (high 90s) and some palpitations. Just desperately looking forward to being a functional person…

LM Heroes Program

Hi! I’m a current ANG member (13+ years of mixed dual status federal employment and active guard reserve). I’ve applied for several positions lately, but reading through this thread makes me nervous my application won’t ever get reviewed or updated. Does applying through the LM Heroes Program help with “being seen?” Any experiences people would like to share with it? Totally open to any tips or recommendations too. Thanks!

2 days post op!

I finally had my PAPVR and SVASD correction done via the Warden Procedure! I don't remember much about the first evening other than the breathing tube sucked coming out and I was SO thirsty but they could only give me ice chips, which tasted like they were sent from the heavens. The next day was very painful trying to figure out what meds would work best. I felt like my whole torso was just very tight and my left chest tube was causing this weird side stitch that radiated up into my shoulder. Valium worked the best for me to relieve that tension but then I would get very itchy. Literally used a clean toothbrush to scratch my face because it was easier to reach and got some weird looks, lol.

Day 3 has been the best so far. I still can't take a deep breath, getting out of bed is hard but getting easier. I got the chest tubes and urine catheter out this morning which was uncomfortable but so much better now. The fatigue has really caught up with me today too. Overall, I'm very happy with my progress and it's going better than I expected! So excited for my next chapter of healing. Wishing you all the best!
