HVAC or industrial maintenance??

I am at a crossroads right now. I have been doing warehouse work for the past 6 years and I am done with the low pay and long hours. I am looking to go to school at a community college either for HVAC or automation industrial technology and finish with an associate. Give me some pros and cons about each trade and some insight if youre in either industry. I am in Southern Arizona. I am not afraid of hard work or learning.

Good plan?

So I was going to school for IT. I was half way done with. My associates program in networking. I have decided that with the current job market and AI taking over entry level jobs I have switched over to automated industrial technology associates program instead. Good thing is a lot of my classes with be concentrated on my degree since I've passed all my pre requisites. Once I get my associates I will be eligible for a bachelor's program in engineering technology. I plan on enrolling and finishing my degree in automation individual engineering technology. I dont plan on being an engineer and will be okay in being a technician. My question is, is this a good plan?

So i have been going to school for an associates degree in networking/cyber defense at a community college? I already have my A+. Recently with everything going on with the job market I am thinking of obtaining an associates degree in automation industrial technology. I love the world of IT and learning but I also want job security along with a decent salary. What do you guys think of the current job market? Should i switch over?
