My interventional radiation doctor called today and canceled my procedure for Monday morning. He said my “spots” (vaginal melanoma - very rare) had changed too much on my most recent pet scan that he didn’t feel it would be successful. Needless to say I have been crying for the last few hours on and off. I did have a gut feeling that it wasn’t going to do me any good. Now I have to get some sleep,

First dose of keytruda today on my two year anniversary of my first oncology appointment. Second round of immunotherapy, post radical hysterectomy. Let’s do this!! Melanoma sucks.
Is or has anyone had targeted radiation or injections for their melanoma? I had a radical hysterectomy and bladder removal (I now have an Indiana pouch) for stage 3 which was supposed to take care of my margins, but the little booger is raising its nasty head again and the specialist is suggesting these two options. Any opinions would be appreciated.
How annoying is it when one of your villagers asks you to come over and visit and then they won’t let you leave? Is there a way around this?
