Do you guys think something like a full ceramics studio with classes, and membership packages could survive in Joplin? More than just somewhere to glaze slip casted bisqueware but a working studio to learn and grow in. Somewhere that people ranging from production potters to novest noobs could come together in creating.
I have a dream but I just don't know if demand is here for it in an area like Joplin.
Recently moved back into my childhood home and started making it all my own. My partner and I are both (he's cis, I'm ftm) have been remodeling and trying to give this old house a face lift. It was built in 1900 and it has a lot of character.
I grew up here so of course I already have a ton of memories in this house but I've been loving the process of remodeling and decorating it for myself. I get to break all the rules my mother set and put all the bugs and bones I love up on my walls.
My partner is my assistant in the hard to reach wall hangings since he's tall and a bit less particular on our interior design. He does still put input but this room specific is 99% me.
It's not perfectly neat, but it is perfectly mine. 😌
