Shelter in Place - Hazardous Chemicals
“This is a message from Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. As of 5:34 PM, there is a hazardous chemicals emergency East of highway 680, South of Monument Boulevard, and West of Oak Grove. Also known as zones WCR-025, WCR-021, CNC-019, PLH-048. The danger will be much less indoors. Go inside, and close all windows and doors. Turn off all heaters, air conditioners, and fans. Unless you are using your fireplace, close your fireplace dampers and vents. Cover any cracks around doors or windows with tape or damp towels. Stay off the phone unless you must report a life-threatening emergency at your location. Remain sheltered indoors until you receive further official instructions.”

An `All Clear` has been issued for the Hazardous Chemicals release near Walnut Creek, East of Highway 680, South of Monument Boulevard and West of Oak Grove Road. Also known as zones WCR-025, WCR-021, CNC-019, PLH-048. Please feel free to resume normal activities.”
