Around port imperial you get a lot of mixed use mid rises with businesses and decent viewing spots along the Hudson River while Edgewater has taller one use buildings and much wider roads and most disgustingly strip malls next to the river . You can’t even have a comfortable walk along the river up there, is so backwards. Is like the planners went “fuck you and your river views peasants” lol

Why are Hudson and Essex counties much more liberal and LGBT friendlier than Bergen

Yes, Bergen is split into two distinct parts of the county North and West being more rich suburban while south of rt 4 and 80 and near the Hudson more dense. But even densely populated areas like Rutherford, Garfield and a few more tend to be more conservative. For example , I don’t think Analia Mejia would have won in the districts covered by Gottheimer and Pou in Bergen
