I'm a very new player, currently trying to get used to D series since all I ever played was G and V. So far I've been having a lot of fun with the Frieren collab decks but I just don't quite understand some of the skills and mechanics. Can someone help me out?

I can't quite understand these two cards:

- When I tried out Fern I thought she attacks 3 times in the battle phase but now I'm not so sure.

- Can this grimoire card stand the vanguard? It just says I choose a circle, flip the card face up, and stand it9
