Entradas v Athletic Club

Llegamos en Madrid éste viernes por la noche y prefiero ir a ver un club con pasión como Rayo más que Real Madrid. He ido al Camp Nou y fue como un biblioteca y pienso que será lo mismo en el Bernabéu. ¿Voy a poder comprar entradas por la mañana antes del partido sin problema?

800 Hour Speaking Update

600 Hour Update

Comprehension

On top of DS and intermediate/advanced learner podcasts I've started listening to some native TV shows. While I understand most of what's being said which is really exciting, I do sometimes completely lose the thread when characters are speaking fast or not clearly. I've also been listening to some Spanish music and I'm now able to make out some lyrics which is cool.

Speaking

At around 750 hours I started doing some conversation practice on Italki. I was very nervous ahead of my first session but for the most part it went ok. I was able to express my self in basic sentences talking about the usual stuff like hobbies and holidays etc. The tutors have all said they were very impressed by my ability and have said it is probably around B1/B2 level (and yes I do realise that it may be in their interest to be nice).

I have now done around 10 hours of conversation and definitely feel myself improving. My speech can flow well but I also still find myself stumbling over basic words and phrases at times. I am generally good at using the correct tense and conjugating without effort and I am getting better at using those pesky object pronouns. The subjunctive (particularly imperfect subjunctive) is a real struggle and I have since devoted a little bit of study time towards it which I hope will help.

And give Evildea a break everyone, during my first conversation I simply could not recall the Spanish for pepper (a word I knew before learning Spanish) and also ended the conversation by saying hola. The first time is not easy.
