‘Crystal Palace fans ambushed in Leipzig before Uefa Conference League final’
From an AEK Athens fan
After watching you this season in the Conference League, you have earned my utmost respect. While I'm still not over from the heartbreak of the second leg, I was 100% rooting for you in the final against Palace. I learnt about how you raised money for fans who were scammed and flew them to Leipzig and it warmed my heart.
I support everything your club stands for and how it is kind of a "people's club", similar to my club, AEK. I respect the fact that your players stopped and clapped for our players after the second leg had ended and how you were very respectful to our stadium (even more respectful than some AEK fans😂).
Also, even though I cursed a lot at your goalkeeper (Batalla I think?) during both legs, he earned my respect when he stopped the game so the injured fan in the stands would take the proper care he needed.
I will have a soft spot for you while watching la liga games!
From a Palace fan
Many Guinnesses deep...
I've heard a lot of people say that Vallecano are the Palace of Spain as we're similar in stature, in fanbase and history.
I was very impressed by the Vallecano team and supporter base tonight, you have a new fan right here.
Congratulations on your second 8th-place finish, and I look forward to seeing you in Europe the season after next...
Adios Iñigo Perez 😭
Tambien se nos va Unai Lopez al Athletic parece. Nteka y Ciss son agentes libres……
Nos quedamos fuera de Europa…….
Cual es la mejor posibilidad para la proxima temporada?
Quien debería remplazar a Iñigo??
Y con el equipo tan viejo que tenemos…… ojala se quede Ilias
Estuvimos y vencimos ⚡⚡
Orgulloso del equipo, del barrio y de su gente. Aupa Rayo!!

congrats to Palace on a deserved victory. it was always going to be tough against a team of that caliber, to win we needed a moment of special quality in front of goal and one never came.
Palace looked really dangerous when they actually tried to play instead of that unwatchable long throw shit, their midfield was incredible Wharton is a hell of a player.
i also have to say that if we’d had Isi available during those five games he missed we’d be back in Europe, he was so good as usual.
the European journey is finally over and what a journey it was, I hope everyone makes it home safely and I can’t wait to do it again next season.
¡Mucha mi3rda!
I admit I didn't know a lot about Rayo Vallecano until a few weeks ago but what your club stands for and what it has done is amazing. Especially the Dona Carmen story.
I'll be watching and cheering you on tonight. Go do it! Do it for a football that existed before corporatism! Do it for Vallecas!
Mi ridiseño del simbolo de Rayo Vallecano
Rayo Vallecano take pride from the barrio into their fight for place in history
theguardian.comGood luck from a Benfica fan
I'm Portuguese and a Benfica supporter. When people ask me which club I support in Spain, I don't answer Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Atlético; I answer Rayo Vallecano. In truth, I hate those three teams and everything they represent.
I sympathize with your club because its history aligns with what I consider my values, and that's more important than any victory or any amount of money.
Therefore, I wish you good luck in the second half.
Forza Rayo!
