My cutoff is 185.5 and I want to get Industrial Engineering at CEG whose closing cutoff was 189 and rank was 15k last year, is it possible? If not, what should be my next move? Any idea about biotechnology in ACT campus?

Industrial Engineering in CEG and Industrial Biotechnology in ACT
Hi everyone, I have just completed twelfth grade in ISC board with 95.75% and 185.5 cutoff. Industrial Engineering as a course seems to resonate with me but I don't know the ground reality of studying IE in CEG and the opportunities that lay before after completing the degree. I would love to hear from seniors that are currently in that branch or field of job. Last year cutoff for that branch was 189 so the chances I score that branch this year is pretty slim too.
Another option I had in mind was Industrial Biotechnology in ACT. I have always been in love with biology but the idea of becoming a doctor never really sat in right with me. Biotechnology seems to be the next best option and I have always done good with biotechnology chapters in 12th. Again, I want to know the ground reality of studying IBT in ACT if it has good labs and placements. Seniors, please help out a fellow junior in need. Thanks in advance.
