I realised what my interest was, but...

Heyy I'm a highschooler in 11th grade rn and i was like really interest in tech fields o i decided to give jee to get into engineering clgs but after 3-4 months i realised that engineering might not be my interest, im not only interested by really love maths but i never thought of it as a career option but when i started my jee prep i came cross with ppl who were not engineers but bsc students and they are like really cool ppl and really smart ppl it was a shock for me that bsc students do get jobs and they often talk about there love about there subject, btw the ppl i am talking about are my teachers who are teachig me for my jee prep after i dug deeper i came across with some interesting programs and exams that will help me to get into the best maths institute like ISI so i thought this path really aligns more to my interest also me deciding to take jee exam was a naive decision because there is so much hype about this exam also im afraid to tell my parents about it because for them iits are like some crazy places where only geniuses get in and this is the best career path for abybody because once you graduated from like top iit or nit you earn like a shit ton of a money what should i do bro like i know what to do but im scared like and i think they might say give jee and agar nhi hua toh bsc mei admission lelena kooi clg me in the best case or they will tell me to take a drop year i might be naive at taking this decision to but i lowkey love math i can do maths like for hours without getting distracted and even in my jee prep maths has been the subject wheer i score the most amt of marks.i have nobody to say all this to, so I decided to post it on reddit thx for reading and let me know your thoughts and what you would do if you were in my position(sorry fot my eng; I typed all that in hurry) also i have like 19 months for isi prep can i make it??

any suggestions how to improve my scores? doing more practice questions aren't helping.

I need something for English I think I will do well on the math section but I'm not very good when it comes to reading and writing section any suggestion. I am currently focused on building my extracurriculars because I believe even if I have a great sat score a weak extracurricular list won't get me in but a decent sat and good extracurriculars with good essay will help me to get into good colleges
