If there was one thing you would change about the format what would it be?

By “format,” I don’t only mean the format of the Majors or LAN events, but rather the qualification systems, scheduling, number of LANs, etc.. anything related to enhancing the quality of RLCS while taking logistical limitations into consideration.

What will this Rostermania bring?

What if falcons flop badly, will they stick with dralii?

Is Nrg's implusion going to be partial or will everyone go their own separate way

If atow moves to vitality who will vati replaces him with?

Who will TM replace MM with?

Will jack/rise/joyo/exotiik all retire?

Is the lack of a third split killing the hype for RLCS?

atp its like beating a dead horse but doesn't it feel like the rl community became lifeless and dead since the major ended?

Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok viewership is down across the board, and the lack of any international events during this two-month gap are looking to have real consequences. Even new fans seem unable to build any hype or momentum around the esport.

Is Dralii still top 10?

His performance at Boston wasn't noteworthy, and he looked terrible online (whiffing, making poor defensive touches in important games etc..) and generally looking like the weakest on his team. (RW9 looked like their best ). I don't think Dralii cracks my top 10 anymore.

Thoughts on the format?

I think most people active in the community have noticed how low rl's viewership has gotten across all platforms since the Major ended. YouTube viewership, Twitter, Reddit, and Twitch numbers are all hitting new lows, and I'm not sure if the online events (1s, 2s, LCQs) are helping much.

Honestly, they just weren't that entertaining (with the exception of 1s), and I don't think they were as well received as BLAST/Psyonix expected.

Who will be the RL GOAT in 5 Years?

I think the discussion of who the GOAT is always comes down to one core question: Do you value a greater number of accolades more than superior individual performance with fewer accolades?

My issue with players like M0nkey M00n/Atomic/Turbo is that, while all three are phenomenal players, they were often the least impactful members of their championship rosters (excluding the early years of their careers). Furthermore, each of them experienced significant low points and major dips.

Compare that to Vatira. guy literally has been the most consistent individual in every team iteration he was in, and has lead his teams to a 1st seed status almost every year since the open era started:

  • 2022: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (Moist)
  • 2023: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)
  • 2024: 1st European seed entering Worlds and 2nd overall seed (KC)
  • 2025: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)
  • 2026: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)

Individual accolades:

  • 3× RLCS Defensive MVP
  • 2× European RLCS MVP
  • 2× RLCS Offensive MVP
  • 2× RLCS Overall MVP
  • 7× LAN Champion

He the biggest potential to be the undisputed GOAT in 5 years imo.

All 4 regions participating in dickies arena's 1v1 had their grand final going to game 7

A 1v1 Lan gathering the top seeds from each region and making a fair bracket would absolutely be something to look forward to imo.

Why is rlesports so unpopular compared to the main rl sub?

First 3 picks show most upvoted posts last 10 days from both subs, the first two are from the main rl sub and the 3rd is from this sub.

Im really curious, why is the margin of difference that big between popluarity?

Especially when compared to other games (cs2 main sub has 400k visits while the esport one got 800k) does rl have a problem transferring their main playerbase core to the esports space?
