Who will be the RL GOAT in 5 Years?

I think the discussion of who the GOAT is always comes down to one core question: Do you value a greater number of accolades more than superior individual performance with fewer accolades?

My issue with players like M0nkey M00n/Atomic/Turbo is that, while all three are phenomenal players, they were often the least impactful members of their championship rosters (excluding the early years of their careers). Furthermore, each of them experienced significant low points and major dips.

Compare that to Vatira. guy literally has been the most consistent individual in every team iteration he was in, and has lead his teams to a 1st seed status almost every year since the open era started:

  • 2022: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (Moist)
  • 2023: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)
  • 2024: 1st European seed entering Worlds and 2nd overall seed (KC)
  • 2025: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)
  • 2026: 1st overall seed entering Worlds (KC)

Individual accolades:

  • 3× RLCS Defensive MVP
  • 2× European RLCS MVP
  • 2× RLCS Offensive MVP
  • 2× RLCS Overall MVP
  • 7× LAN Champion

He the biggest potential to be the undisputed GOAT in 5 years imo.

All 4 regions participating in dickies arena's 1v1 had their grand final going to game 7

A 1v1 Lan gathering the top seeds from each region and making a fair bracket would absolutely be something to look forward to imo.

Why is rlesports so unpopular compared to the main rl sub?

First 3 picks show most upvoted posts last 10 days from both subs, the first two are from the main rl sub and the 3rd is from this sub.

Im really curious, why is the margin of difference that big between popluarity?

Especially when compared to other games (cs2 main sub has 400k visits while the esport one got 800k) does rl have a problem transferring their main playerbase core to the esports space?

Vitality/ Kc next season (Zen/Atow/Vatira)

I think its consensus knowledge by now that Zen & Atow are teaming up next season with Atow Possibly replacing Exo. However, many people are saying their 3rd is also clear and should obviously be Vatira " nobody else fits that rule". While I agree and really think that team would be a dynasty if happened, I also just think the possibility of that happening is slim for various of reasons.

Vati has just deep connection with his org kc/ (Kameto) that its really hard for me to see him leaving behind thousands of kc fans that support him, same argument can be made for Zen in vitality.

Both are the face and the core of their respective orgs, them leaving would basically ensure one org just dies and leave the scene for good. So while That dream team is still likely not to happen next season both teams are going to be much more polished then they are now:

Zen/atow/stizzy

Vatira/juicy/3rd (Fk?)

Are we near the most stacked worlds ever?

The most stacked worlds we ever had in my opinion was 2024 in which 6 teams had a real shot at winning it all (3 European teams 1 Mena team, 1 Na team and 1 Sam team) the results of having so many close level teams paid off amazingly and it showed, as all of the playoff matches went to either 6 or 7 (yes67) except a single series that had 4 Long overtimes.

Even looking back at BDS's way to victory they looked rough all tournament, (Lost to falcons in Swiss-->had to reverse sweep Furia in tiberaker-->went to 7 against G2 in an unbelievably close series-->went to 7 against falcons-->went to 6 against G2 again and should have went to 7).

This year might surpass that level:

-Falcons are hungry to make a comeback

-Twisted showed how high their ceiling can be

-NRG proved to us that they show up at the right time

-Vati is hungry for that worlds win

-M8s looking to win 2 rlcs lans

-Zen finally gets his very needed bounceback

Not to mention there are 3 dark horses that can pop off at any time and beat any of the 6.

We are in for a treat.

NA RLCS 2V2 predictions.

My hot takes in order :

1-Kofyr/Mech make top 4 (high ceiling, low floor)

2-Reveal/zach not making it to the finals.

3-Fk/Atomic beat Danmode in the uppers but lose to a warmed up version of them in the finals.

Extra hot take: Danmode take a game off of Zatow.

Atow arrives at Vitality's bootcamp in preparation for the RLCS 2v2 Group Stage with Zen.

For some context, KC has been facing financial issues, which is why they couldn't provide a bootcamp for their players during the last three online regionals. ^(They allocated a significant portion of their budget to their League of Legends roster.)

Youngest known players currently competing in rlcs according to liquipedia

For some context, warden is semi consistently top 10 in the 1s leaderboard while v3ziz is top 20. Both made the main event in rlcs mena.

definitely players we should watch out for in the coming years.

Thoughts on vitality this season so far?

With how slow they have started this season, no one had in their mind that this team will be the closest to make zen a champion again after a very needed bounce back from a player in his Caliber. In the off season he tried seeking firstkiller, that didn't work and had to go for a downgrade player in stizzy who showed very impressive preformence this whole season so far.

That being said, despite vitality being power ranked 2nd itw currently, I feel bad for them with how super close they were to lift the trophy 2 times in a row. Missing 2 chances gotta feel rough especially with how strong teams will be at the end of the season, its safe to assume there will be no more freebies at worlds and ewc with how teams improve naturally, so will they get the chance to left the trophy?

who is the most improved player in this year so far

It is weird because we are used to youngsters and new commers coming in to the scene and break it but it is different this time around, the players who have shined the most in this season have been around for a while now and they are older then 18.

Nass and Stizzy for example couldn't even make regionals in Na back in 2024 and now they are one of the best players in the world...what changed?
