Keep one spare bed change together so anyone can find the right bedding
A small linen-cupboard idea: keep the pieces for one spare bed change together, rather than sorting every sheet and pillowcase into separate piles.
Once everything is completely dry, fold the sheet and other pillowcases and tuck them loosely inside one pillowcase from the set. Put it on the shelf with a simple label for the bed or size. That means someone else can find the right set without unfolding three different stacks.
If your sheets don’t match, that’s fine. Group them by the bed they fit, not by whether they make a tidy-looking set. Keep the regularly used sets within easy reach and move seasonal extras out of that space.
It’s worth trying with one set before changing the whole cupboard. If the bundle gets too bulky or you prefer seeing everything separately, keep an open stack and label the shelf instead. The useful test is whether a bed change is easier, not whether the cupboard looks perfect.
