Spent half the day at Island today. Very light crowd on the men’s side from opening to the time I left… Haven’t paid/opted for a scrub in many months. Same guy scrubbing (keep forgetting to ask his name) but today’s scrub…chef’s kiss. Something about it today. They can feel a little brutal, rough, sometimes jerking my arm back or my leg on my side when I just can’t seem to coordinate my body layout how he wants it lol (pls tell me I’m not the only one haha) but today was not that. Yeah, it’s a scrub not a massage, but it wasn’t…impersonal. Don’t want this to sound asshole-ish, but it felt a little kinder? I was his second scrub of the morning not sure if that plays into it but it was just fucking great.
Oh, and that new steam output is no fucking joke… intense!! :) great!! I needed all of that 4.5hrs today before going to work.

This morning was probably the most patrolling by attendants I’ve ever seen on the men’s side. Frankly, it was a little uncomfortable. Something must’ve happened recently, they were in their squeegeeing, the steam room glass at least four times in the span of an hour and a half or so this morning. Was able to relax, but it still kind of kills The vibe when so many times they have to slow walk it past the sauna and the steam room. At least the massage jets were working. That made me pretty happy :-)
