PIP Question - Cooking?
Hi there.
So I have a long list of health conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic dizziness, depression and... Well I'll leave it there for now, but I have a health assesment coming up soon, and feeling really nervous about it as I'm sure most of us feel. Thing is, I just spoke with my citizens advice advisor, and they said if I can cook for myself, even just once once or twice a month, that's an automatic 0.
Is that really true? The vast majority of the time, I order out, eat precanned food like tuna or sometimes even just go without due to feeling really unwell, but occasionally I will cook something because ordering out all the time is financially unsustainable. Not a meal. Rather, a few pieces of meat in the oven which lasts me a few days. I would say once a week. Sometimes not at all depending on how I'm doing.
So I guess my question is, is that true? If i cook even once or twice a month, it's an automatic 0 points? I dont chop anything. I dont peel anything. There's no potatoes or rice. Literally just a piece of chicken or pork thrown in the oven while I sit, with some spinach and that's it, with the remaining pieces put in the fridge for the next few days.
Thanks.
