First paludarium, is wet soil ok?

It appears as the substrate barrier I tried to use to keep water and substrate separate did not work very well and now my soil is soaked, is this ok or do i need to take down and restart?

I have about 7 gallons of this super concentrated blackwater from just trying to tint one of my tanks dark and it looked exactly how i wanted but then the next morning it was basically pitch black, I have no idea how this happened but do i keep it for when i need to tint the water or just dump it and reclaim my buckets?
