Any good source of getting minky fabric?

I live in an area that is difficult to buy good craft stuff, so I need to buy most of my fabric online. I heard that the best place to get minky fabric is etsy, so I’ve been browsing up there recently. Still, I would like to research for more sources of affordable minky fabric.

I’ve grown a bit skeptic of online shopping. I’ve seen multiple fabric listing using the same images for their fabric, reviews that doesn’t seem real, ai images, ect. I guess I just need to do some research before putting my money out there. May I know where most artists here get their minky fabric, or at least a reliable store/website that they trust?

Need help and tips on embroidered features

(Photo of a Mario plush that I didn’t make myself, I just wanna show what I want to do)

I’m still new to plush making, but I’ve learned a fair bit and can hand sew most stuff. Now I want to learn how to embroider features like eyes, hair and stuff like this Mario plush I got here, and I got some questions.

- Is there any preparation I need to do if I’m embroidering on minky fabric?
Are specialty needles needed for this? I got a small hoop and some embroidering threads lying around.
-I saw that people are using “embroidering paper” or something like that to trace the features on to the fabric. May I know where to find those and what kind I should get?
-So for like Mario’s hair, where his hair fabric got embroidered onto his head. How do I go about recreating that?
-So for example, if I want to get rid of Mario’s embroidered eyes and replace it with new embroidered eyes, would that be even possible to do?

Hope I didn’t asked too much. Thank you in advance :)
