I had high hopes for this repro, but after seeing her… oh my goodness, I’m flabbergasted. It doesn’t make sense why Mattel couldn’t do a better job replicating her screening from the original when they both share the same mold.

The new Clara doll looks like a cheap cosplayer. She may look better in person, but I don’t know. Hopefully, this is just a screening issue with this particular doll.

Then again, Mattel’s quality control doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

Sorry but this outright disrespectful to the legacy of the OG dolls, mattel just couldn't stop themselves from sabotaging their own brand, they do well their monster high creeproductions but we barbie fans always get the absolute shit

I don't think the budget is really the problem with mattel, it's the creativity and love for the brand

Recent demon hunter dolls were sold for way less cheaper prices (around $30) but the faces were done well, they had real shimmer and even the mira doll had real fabric boots granted they were playline.

It's disappointing to be a barbie fan these days, might as well discover other brands if you really want to get your money's worth.
