Hi everyone,

I have a question about the non-degree option at the University of Vienna.

I am applying for the Bachelor’s programme Mathematical Foundations of Data Science, but I may need additional time to obtain the required English certificate. Because of this, I am looking into the possibility of enrolling first as a non-degree student under “attending courses out of interest / attending individual courses”, while preparing the language certificate and possibly taking courses at the Language Center.

Has anyone here actually done something similar at the University of Vienna?
For example:

• enrolling as a non-degree student first,
• attending language courses during that time,
• and then later moving into a regular degree programme.

If you have personal experience with this, I would be very grateful if you could share it or send me a message.

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply for the BSc in Mathematical Foundations of Data Science at Uni Wien this summer. I’m currently starting my preparation for the admission exam on July 15th.

Since the program is new and quite math-heavy, I’d love to connect with other prospective students to share resources, study for the admission exam together, or just discuss the enrollment process.
