"Music for the Jilted Generation" is the second studio album by The Prodigy. It was first released on 4 July XL Recordings in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and by Mute Records in the United States 🇺🇲. Just as on the group’s debut album Experience (1992), Maxim was the only member of the band's lineup—besides Liam Howlett—to contribute to the album.

On this day, 24 years ago, The Prodigy the single "Baby's Got A Temper" was released.

"Baby's Got a Temper" is released as a non-album single in July, 1 2002 by record labels XL and Maverick. It was the band's first single in five years, following "Smack My Bitch Up" in 1997 and also their first release after dancer Leeroy Thornhill left the band in 2000.

After the monumental «The Fat of the Land», the band vanished for five years. Liam was battling a cocaine addiction, creative block and a marriage breakdown. The industry demanded a comeback anthem; what they got was a bleak, industrial dose of amnesia and lost control. That’s why «Baby’s Got a Temper» was swiftly brushed under the rug by the band themselves.

On this day, 29 years ago, the third studio album The Prodigy "The Fat Of The Land" 🦀 was released.

The Fat of the Land is the third studio album. It was first released on 30 June 1997 by XL Recordings in the UK 🇬🇧 and on 1 July 1997 by Maverick Records in the US 🇺🇲.

The album received critical acclaim and topped the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. It has sold over 10 million copies worldwide as of 2019.

Happy birthday to legendary guit, Tom Morello (RATM)!

🔥 In 1997, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and The Prodigy created a monster track — “One Man Army”.

The song was made for the Spawn movie soundtrack. Liam Howlett asked Tom to send some guitar riffs. Morello recorded 15 minutes of wild, chaotic guitar madness in a small studio in a sleepy town in Illinois, USA, and sent the DAT tape to the UK.

The beats, production, and Maxim’s vocals were done in The Prodigy’s studios in England — mainly at Strongroom in London and Earthbound in Braintree, Essex.

The result was pure fire: Tom’s signature guitar screams over massive electronic beats. One of the greatest rock-electronic crossovers ever, and it still slaps hard almost 30 years later 🔥🎸

On this day, 32 years ago, The Prodigy single "No Good (Start The Dance)" was released.

The song was written and produced by group member Liam Howlett. It was released in May, 16 1994 as the second single from their second studio album Music for the Jilted Generation.

It is built around a repeated vocal sample from "You're No Good for Me" by Kelly Charles (1987).

In 2012, NME listed "No Good (Start the Dance)" at number 33 in their list of "100 Best Songs of the 1990s".
