Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (2026) is a shameless, uninspired rip-off of the Coen Brothers’ O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000)

The similarities are honestly embarrassing. Did Nolan think we wouldn't notice?

The Sirens: In O Brother, they wash their clothes in a river and turn Pete into a toad. In The Odyssey, Samantha Morton plays Circe and turns the crew into pigs. Nolan just swapped the animals. Lazy.

The Cyclops: Everett has to deal with Big Dan Teague (John Goodman), a one-eyed bible salesman who beats them up with a tree branch. Odysseus has to deal with Polyphemus, a one-eyed giant who literally does the exact same thing.

The Ending: Both movies end with a bunch of annoying, rowdy guys trying to steal the main character’s wife (Penelope / Penny) while they are gone, only for the protagonist to show up in a cheap disguise.

I know Ludwig Göransson did the score for Nolan, but unless Matt Damon sings "I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow" in full IMAX 70mm, this movie is a 0/10 for me.

Looking for a cart cover and found nightmare fuel (three hands and a foot sitting backwards)

The baby has three hands, one foot, and is sitting backwards in a grocery cart. Perhaps he is just sitting on the least favorite child and the sitting backwards is just... idk, seems pretty artificial..
