I was playing Elden ring when I noticed that I got huge lag spikes that would last for like 30-1 minute. Not that strange considering my pc not being the best. However last time I did a playthrough, roughly a year ago, there were no lag at all. So I checked task manager and it said the ram was almost full so naturally I thought that the ram is the reason behind the lag. I have 16. So I asked my brother and he just happened to have two 8 gb ram sticks from before upgrading his pc. So we inserted them and for some reason the display just said no signal. I searched up guides, cleaning the ram, checking the plugs, removing the gpu outright and putting it in again. but nothing worked. So then we removed them and now it works normally. so something about them just broke everything I guess. I suppose I should be glad that it worked normally after taking them out. So yeah Im back on square one.
