My Experience with Flair Airlines
Right away, I’ll say that I just want to share my experience, which might be useful for someone. Overall, I rate it as negative, but for others it may be acceptable for the price they offer.
I flew from Vancouver (F8 6300) to Toronto and back (F8 6303).
The flight to Toronto went well — boarding and departure were on time. After landing in Toronto, we had to sit on the plane for a while because there was no available gate. During the flight, no food was offered, which felt a bit strange to me since the flight lasted about 5 hours. The seats were uncomfortable, and even with extra legroom, my legs were still cramped (I’m 6’2). But this is pretty much what you’d expect from a low-cost carrier.
On the return flight from Toronto to Vancouver, my plane was delayed by 5 hours. They notified us about 4 hours before departure and gave us a $20 food voucher. Later they delayed it again, but only by 30 minutes this time. I personally had no issues with baggage because I only had a shoulder bag with me, which they didn’t even check. Be prepared that there will be no water on the plane.
Overall, I probably wouldn’t use this airline again, unless it’s for a short flight of no more than 2 hours. If you need to be somewhere on time, keep in mind that their flights are often delayed (my friend flew Calgary–Toronto and his flight was also late).
I paid about $500 for the round-trip tickets (after taxes). I bought them a month before the flight.
