He was at Tottenham uk stadium, we gotta get a collab one day…
Glad he found his answer to erykah badu’s question.
I was listening to MM&B and his line on “Mother I Sober” saying, “I pray our children don't inherit me and feelings I attract.” Might be his saddest line, imo. He’s literally their father—a success story by all means and someone people look up to—and yet his conclusion is, “don’t inherit ME.”
Obviously “U” tackles this issue too—him saying this drunk version full of self-loathing is nothing compared to his sober daily thoughts is sad. (I know he concludes with i but he said that’s aspiration not where he actually is.)
Damn as whole.
Lastly on “Man at the Garden”, he got a somber, almost upset tone as if he’s trying to convince himself, and he keeps giving himself props on things he accomplished in his career. And things he did for people around him with a few lines about himself outside of it.
I don’t know if I explained this well…anyone else see it like me, or disagrees how I read a song please tell me.
Edit: listen I see good points but the chorus on mother i sober is literally “I wish I was somebody anybody but my self” so idk why you guys don’t read the self loathing…
I think it’s hilarious there’s several post hyping him up for sitting normally when the second pic is this:
Yo guys have we ever seen Kendrick outside without dave being in the background are they inseparable or something?? 🤣🤣🤣😭 like holy shit he’s ALWAYS THERE!!!
even stat (top friend) alluded that the whitney thing during the beef was insane bc in his pov she actually gets annoyed by her mans bsf that’s always around too much lmaooo
Thundercat was asked about untitled unmastered in a recent interview.
This showed up on my fyp and decided to share it here. He’s amazing btw he collaborated with Kendrick twice on hair down & 30 for 30.
Nowadays he works alot with sza, vince staples, steve lacy and got credit on sex appeal in casino.
For anyone interested check his genius page he’s crazy.
This clip is hilarious about Kendrick already working on his next album before releasing the one they finished.
I was thinking about this the other day it is really upsetting that mr morale era ended with little to no information about how it was made, most the producers and collaborators working on it didn’t speak much unlike his other works for example tpab got so many interviews so did gnx and his other albums, it’s really f frustrating please share any info you found!!! (Not talking about breakdowns) the soundscape on it is so unique..
Bro been through too much..
I’ve been a Kendrick fan for years and wondered this for the longest (something made this come up this week ugh not gonna talk about the hypocrisy of who brought it up) anyway I got no hate just genuinely wondering what do non black fans get from his music, every release is drenched in black culture how do you even relate to it? Not going for the low hanging fruit of white guilt btw.
Edit: some of u are feeling attacked, I didn’t say Kendrick music is black exclusives just wondering what YOU (non black listeners) get out of it or if it just vibes and entertainment without caring.
Edit 2: appreciate ppl taking time to write an answer!! I thought 5 ppl were gonna see this lowkey overwhelmed…
Anyone knows where i can find this interview pls help me!!!! (I don’t have tidal or even considering getting and can’t find it on yt)
Anyone here listen to this album it literally sounds like casino with less interesting production and flow but more lyrical.
I know the comparison aren’t new he lowkey biting his style imo 💀
He’d never hurt a soul 🕊️
She told him she’s proud of him 🥲
Stat a tde affiliate and top dog friend talks about label reaction to tpab, Gnx being harder to make than mr morale.
Saying he’s a complex person so mm&bs and tpab are his comfort zone.
Thoughts?
