Did I ruin this tree?

For reference I’ve never cut a tree before, and have absolutely no idea what im doing. The branch was blown over and probably 70% attached. I first cut the part that was halfway on, then i wanted to make sure i’m taking care of the tree properly so I did some quick research on the spot and made the best cut i could. Did i cut too far or short on the collar? Should I straighten the end more or leave it be? Also, the stump looked straight until i looked from a different angle. In the picture i tried to capture my fuck up on straightness of the cut. I was using a telescopic handsaw.

Am i tripping or did this whole Cole Allen / trump shooting thing happen a while ago? The moment I first saw this I thought this had happened a few weeks or maybe even years ago idk i’m just getting this intense ineffable feeling of dejavu. I’m not exactly sure how to explain it. His name seems so familiar; I feel like i’ve seen his face before, I feel like I first saw this footage a fat minute ago.

Im not commenting on anything regarding the event itself, but I feel like it happened a while ago. Like everything going on right now idk how to explain it at all in words but like just everything about it

A few people i’ve spoken to are having similar experiences.
