Help with my repaired bass

I took my bass guitar to a luthier because the neck broke. He did a simple glue repair and it's fine to play now, but my question is, it seems the truss rod was covered with glue, and now it doesn't turn anymore. Could this cause any problems eventually? I apologize if this is a silly question; it's my first bass and I've never taken it to a luthier before

What you guys think about cab sims

I recently bought an Mvave Blackbox to test some cabinet simulators. I paid very little for the pedal, and it was cheaper than most other entry-level pedals that have cabinet sims. I was a bit disappointed with the simulators I downloaded, which had good reviews. They all sounded abnormally bassy and had a slight delay that didn't bother me too much. This made me hesitant to invest in more expensive, high-end pedals to use as simulators. What do you think? Is it the cheap pedal, or did I just not like the "simulated" tone?

Ir question

I have a preamp that I love for its distortion tone, however, I want to use an amp simulator for the PAs. I don't have a parallel signal with the cab-sim disconnected. Is there any problem using the cab-sim on the stage cabinet?

the stage cabinet is a hartke lh1000, i was wondering using his send output connected to my cabsim to pas, but dont know if will work
