Is the job market really tough at this time or is it just bad luck?
My partner got laid off 6 months ago and he’s been trying to apply for jobs ever since. Got a few interviews here and there but then no company gave an offer yet. Most interviews rejected and when asked for the reason why, “there is something lacking in the sales presentation”. 5 solid monthsto date of applying, interviews, waiting for results, rejection and it has been taking a toll on him mentally. I can’t help but just help him keep going… I wonder if the job market now is tough, or is it just not his time yet? I want to be positive about it but it’s getting more and more difficult since xmas is coming too, more pressure for him financially.
