Is this Congressional candidate's sign AI? The handwriting looks really off.

This is a photo that Jamie Joyce (congressional candidate in CA) posted on the r/berkeleyca sub during an AMA. I believe the picture of her is real, but the sign looks super AI to me. I think she might have taken a selfie and then asked ChatGPT to generate a pic of her holding up a sign. The handwriting in particular looks AI generated, not to mention the fact of how weird it is that she presumably typed the "Hey Berkeley", printed it out, and then handwrote the rest.

I asked about it on the AMA thread, and I got downvoted, and I also had Joyce reply to me and say it's real. But idk, I just thought about it again today and the sign still looks AI.

Codex Security "This content can't be shown"?

Was running Codex Security on part of my repo for the first time using the Codex app. It works for nearly 20 minutes, uses up 11% of my weekly limit, and then I just see "Goal blocked, This content can't be shown".

Wtf? If it makes a big deal about cybersecurity requests, then what is the point of having Codex Security??

Is there even a way to at least see its thinking process up to being blocked, so I can get some value out of the 11% of my weekly limit that it burned? This is crazy

[Request] How Much Would It Cost To Host GPT or Claude Yourself?

Hypothetically, if the weights for frontier open source models like GPT 5.6 Sol or Claude Fable were open-sourced, how much would it cost to set up and run the hardware to host and run the models yourself?

Let's say you and 9 friends were willing to pool your money to build this. You would only need to serve just the 10 of you, not millions of people. What's the minimum cost setup and maintenance to make this work at a reasonable speed?

How much usage does Cursor $60 get you?

I currently pay for the $20 plans for both Codex and Claude Code. Even with those 2 combined, I feel like the weekly limits are too low for what I do. I feel that I need roughly 1.5x the usage that I currently get.

So, I'm considering either (a) get a second Codex subscription or (b) stop my current subscriptions and just get Cursor $60.

Can anyone compare how much usage you get from the Cursor $60 plan vs. Codex and Claude's plans? If I were to get Cursor, I would definitely use the less capable models for smaller tasks and only call to Codex or Claude for big things.

CS 189 Final Grades?

I know there's been a lot of people talking on Ed, but figured I'd ask here too. Does anyone have any idea what's going on with CS 189? They said they would post final grades last Wednesday, but they still haven't and course staff have basically ghosted us too.

Best/cheapest site to rent GPUs?

Have not really used local LLMs before, but I'm looking to get into them, primarily for coding. For my case, I need like 48GB VRAM, and so I'm looking for a good site to rent a GPU for cheap.

The cheapest I see are salad.com and vast.ai . Does anyone have experiences with these sites? Are they legit and are they usable for local models?

CS 189 Approximate Grade Bins?

Does anyone have any ideas of what approximate grade bins might be? I know it's different each iteration of the class, but if anyone has historical data, that would help soothe my nerves right now
