EA-18G Growler, No. 6 Squadron, RAAF (HA5152)

I've been trying to find this one for a couple of years now, and I'm so happy to finally have it.

Has anything been written about attrition or dropout rates during Jedi training and education?

It's been written that as of TPM, there were 10,000 Jedi Knights in service with the Order (the original visual dictionary states that this was a 'dwindling' of numbers, implying that there were more Jedi in years past). That isn't a lot of Jedi to serve the Republic, and even on Coruscant you were unlikely to see one unless you lived or worked close to the Temple or the Senate building. I've wondered if this was the result of at least one of the following:

  • few infants with the requisite midi-chlorian count being born;
  • few parents willing to let the Jedi take their children; or
  • few initiates becoming Padawans and then Knights.

It's my understanding that most if not all Padawans become Knights, so that got me wondering about the numbers of initiates coming into the Temple and moving through the system.

This is what the shots darkened with shadows in episode 16 are supposed to look like.

When Neon Genesis Evangelion was being remastered in the early 2000s, it was discovered that the 16mm film negative used to photograph episode 16 had been lost, so Gainax was forced to use a 35mm internegative and tweak the colours to approximate the original footage. Nonetheless, the colours aren't as vibrant, resulting in harsh shadows and loss of detail, and the image isn't as sharp as other episodes that were remastered.

These shots are taken from the original DVD release by ADV Films.
